I see Battle of Leisure by Kelly Jazvac as a comment on materialism in our society. The artist has used discarded man-made items and combined them to imitate a beautiful natural setting. This showcases the irony in our society that we are polluting our natural environment in the attempt to “beautify” our surroundings with man-made products. The result is a degradation of the natural beauty around us, and us replacing it with a gross mimicry of what we originally had.
